The Curse Spinner is Inspired by the Bavarian fairy tale “Die Verwünchte Spinnerin” from Der Klappermichl by Franz Xaver von Schönwerth, this video work uses movement and dance to tell the story of a young woman who is cursed to weave for her lover until her home breaks out in flames and she finds salvation in transformation.
Created February 2021 for the Leo Kuelbs Collection’s"Spirituality of Movement" show.
